Vetrocreare is a specialist in designing and creating artistic stained glass windows and panels.
Architects Laura Belforti and Michel Patrin founded this company in 1980 after having taken post-graduate course on the art of stained glass in Belgium.
In 1983, they opened their workshop in Piazza San Salvatore in Lauro, a quiet square located near Via dei Coronari in Rome's historic centre.
Their workshop is a meeting place for architects, interior decorators and people seeking sophisticated and personalised solutions.
In 1990, a new workshop was opened on Viale delle Milizie in Rome’s Prati neighbourhood. This space is where the stained glass windows and panels are actually made.
It also contains a stockroom where hundreds of kinds of artistic glass from Italy, Germany, France and the United States are kept.
In October 2003, VetroCreare founded a school with the objective of imparting techniques and cultural aspects pertinent to artistic stained glass and in order to teach the construction and application of stained glass panels.
